Our stay at Mid Hvoll Cottages was a dreamy escape. The cozy cabins were perfect for our intimate group of friends. We were greeted by adorable farm dogs upon arrival and even had the pleasure of running with them on the vast black sand beach. The staff were wonderfully friendly and the location made it easy to explore nearby Vik. We also had the chance to witness the awe-inspiring Northern Lights dancing above us. The location of Mid Hvoll Cottages was absolutely perfect for our winter visit to Iceland. It allowed us to maximize our daylight hours and easily access all the sightseeing spots. The cottage itself was clean, well-maintained, and had all the cooking facilities we needed. The host was incredibly helpful and accommodating, even allowing us to extend our stay due to bad weather. We also loved the opportunity to see Icelandic horses up close and personal. a great experience and highly recommended.

Lovely, cozy cottages with a fully-equipped kitchen. Despite bad weather, we felt warm and comfortable inside. The location in the middle of nowhere added to the charm. Friendly dogs that followed us around but didn't enter the room. Away from light pollution, perfect for seeing the aurora if the weather permits. Didn't get to visit the private beach, but I know I would have loved it. Will definitely stay here again!
Would recommend this hotel.

The cottages offered incredible views and were clean, new, and comfortable. the key location was perfect, with the ability to hear the ocean in the morning. the cottages provided basic essentials for the kitchen, which was a nice convenience.
the heating could have been turned on higher upon arrival, as the cottages felt chilly at first. the Wi-Fi signal was weak and only accessible outside the cottages.
